“Trip review”

I got a message from some guy --
Says “trip review” -- read “FBI,”
And I’m not telling fairy-tales,
They ask what my research entails.
They ask me whom I will salute,
If I will meet some sanctioned dude,
They say you need to explicate
What kind of stuff you’re doing, mate?
You know, I couldn’t help myself,
I put the message on the shelf,
The only thing that comes to mind --
I’m part of sanctioned humankind.
They say, you know man, we afraid
Of what you’ve done or could’ve made,
You know, they say, that Belarus
Is a restricted site, no loose
And that is why we need to know
Why do you plan at all to go?
Well, all that feels like they intrude -
I’m free to go wherever, dude!
When thinking of the things above,
That feels duplicit kinda stuff.
I’m saying this is not okay,
That this is not a proper way
Of how to treat a person -- end,
I wonder if they comprehend...
